Described by HomeWorld Business magazine as “the hottest hue” at the 2015 International Home & Housewares Show, say goodbye to bronze and hello to copper as the new go-to metal.
Due to its excellent electrical conductivity, copper has been a common but less popular choice in cookware in particular. Traditionally, copper was added to a space to create an “antique-y” feel, which proves that what’s old is new again not only in fashion but in housewares too.
Copper’s appearance in home products has been expanding since 2014 to bathware, baskets, wastecans and canisters as a trendy, but sophisticated alternative to stainless steel.
P.S. You’ll also see a variation called rose gold which may have a similar look but different metallic properties.
