5 Over Toilet Storage Ideas

Updated: Jan 12, 2021

Etageres or as they are commonly known -over tank spacesavers- are a popular and easy to use option to boost bathroom storage. One of our favourites is the drop door spacesaver as it combines hidden storage with open shelves.

But there are so many other creative ways to use your walls and the space over the toilet to create storage.

1. Plain and mirrored wall cabinets. Why we love it: This room uses a series of cabinets (similar to a kitchen set-up) in slightly different styles along the ENTIRE wall. Smart!

2. Chrome rack. Why we love it: This rack is super practical as it stores both the towels in use and in reserve.

3. Built-ins. Why we love it: This custom-built storage unit mimics the look of a spacesaver (without the legs) and takes advantage of every inch as it's built right to the sloped ceiling.

4.

Floating shelves. Why we love it: Not only are these floating shelves stylish, the decor adds a touch of warmth to the space to remind us bathrooms can be pretty and functional too.

5. Baskets mounted to the wall. Why we love it: Save floor space by using a combination of baskets which are drilled into the wall to store towels and more.

All of these bathroom storage ideas do require some drilling and a bit of do-it-yourself skill so roll up your sleeves and start on your space-maximising mission.
